ME AND MY BROKEN HEART
This is actually an old illustration, but I have decided to put it up for sale because it's one of my favourite ones. I really think the big black arrow that goes through the fragile heart adds some tension to it. I hope you will like it as well.
PS. It was made for a text with a sad theme, so that's why I've always thought of it as a broken heart, but my friend pointed out that it can actually be a lovestruck heart as well, with an arrow of love shot through it. :)
One of my favourite days in Bangkok was when we went biking in Bang Kachao, a green peninsula a bit away from the city centre with less traffic and more calmness, greens and dogs.
I just sold my first illustration on Society6! Thank you so much and I hope whoever bought it will be pleased with the piece :)
As it turns out I have a new illustration coming up now! This is made from photos with a little painting in Photoshop. It's kinda abstract with two geometric cubes fighting over a third cube that seem to be very important! On the other hand, you could also look at it as if they were about to initiate a dance. This is nevertheless made with a bit of humour in mind, hope you like it! You can now order it for example as a cutting board, poster or even as a coffee table! Go to shop.
A BIT OF SUNSHINE, OCEANBREEZE AND HISTORY.
Hanko is Finlands southernmost town and if you ever visit it, I would also recommend a visit to Tulliniemi. It is a nice walk through some forest and cliffs all the way to the open ocean at the southernmost tip of Finlands mainland.
CHIC AND COSY
I can honestly say this was the most fabulous cinema experience I have had so far.
BIG, FAT AND SCARY
I was really hoping to see some lizards when we went to Bangkoks green lung, the Lumpini Park. I had read that a few years ago there were so many monitor lizards in the park that hundreds were catched and transported to other places in order to decrease the population. To my joy some of them were still there enjoying an easy life.
HISTORY WRAPPED IN HEAT
We had read that Ayutthaya, the former capital of Thailand, would be a great day trip out of the city, so one day we sat on a very old and rough train that would take us to the ruins showing a part of Thailands history.
MESMERIZING DETAILS AND SPIRITUALITY
On our third day in Bangkok we took a water taxi and headed to see two of the many temples in the city.
One of the attractions I really enjoyed visiting in Bangkok was the Jim Thompson house. The house and the surrounding garden is a nice lush break from the noisiness of the city.
AMONG SKYSCRAPERS AND CROWDS
During our winter vacation I wanted to go to a place that would be completely different from our everyday schedule, plus it had to be warm, so after some searching we decided for Bangkok. Bangkok is one of the the most visited cities in the world and it seemed both exotic and quite cheap. We went there during the hot season in March.
My name is Malin. I like to take photos and make illustrations. My aim is to spread feelgood through glimpses of me and my boyfriends trips and travels, spiced with a few illustrations. We are based in Finland and our trips go both near and far. Enjoy! :)
